Renegades of Light made the EP Trinity from what they call struggle, deep psychedelic work, and recovery. In their own words, the project is designed to break down the bars of our psychological prisons. That mission runs straight through the track now playing on Unity 89.1 FM, “Jailbreak.”
“Jailbreak” is a hip hop track built around release. The verses move fast, shifting between images of chaos, memory, and rebuilding, then land on a chorus that says it plainly: the artist wants out of whatever cage the mind has built. At one point the lyrics call it wanting to hear “words loose on the run,” and that restlessness carries the whole song.

For a community station built on inclusion and independent voices, a track like this fits naturally. It comes from an independent hip hop artist working through real material, in their own words, without polish added for its own sake. Unity 89.1 FM exists to give space to voices like this out of Corpus Christi, and “Jailbreak” is a straightforward example of why.
