Listen to a 30-second preview of “Let's Make Plans”:
inkind is an indie-folk duo formed in Brisbane, Australia, by multi-instrumentalists Erin Harrington and Nathan “Nate” Eggins. Harrington’s background is with Miss Elm and Eggins comes from Conspiracy of One, and together they built this project around a simple ethos: “Kind folk for kind folk.” Their songs lean into human connection, empathy, and personal growth, themes that come through in every layer of their sound.
Their instrumentation draws on guitars, banjo, and earthy violin, wrapped in warm vocal harmonies that blend traditional folk with touches of pop, rock, and jazz. It is an acoustic sound rooted in Australian songwriting traditions, and the duo has cited artists like Angus & Julia Stone, Sarah Blasko, and The Seekers as inspirations, a lineage you can hear in the way their harmonies sit close and unforced.
About the track
“Let’s Make Plans” is inkind’s follow-up to their debut single, “Feels Like Home,” and continues the same gentle, character-driven approach to songwriting. Both tracks were selected for the soundtrack of the 2026 Australian feature film All My Friends Are Back in Brisbane, a sign of how well their music fits into stories about everyday life and relationships.
Given the duo’s focus on empathy and connection, the song leans acoustic and unhurried, letting the interplay of guitar, banjo, and violin carry the emotional weight alongside the harmonies. It is the kind of track built for quiet attention rather than spectacle.
inkind has already found some recognition at home, reaching the semi-finals of the national Listen Up Music Songwriting Prize and the Brisbane finals for Passport To Airlie. They remain closely tied to their local community, playing intimate venues, folk clubs, and backyard shows around South East Queensland.
That community-first spirit is exactly why “Let’s Make Plans” feels at home on Unity 89.1 FM. This is a station built by and for community in Corpus Christi, and inkind’s music, warm, handmade, and rooted in connection, speaks the same language from the other side of the world.
